Fibroline
is an engineering company, which developed and patented a revolutionary dry process allowing to impregnate powder form materials into porous structures (fibres, foams, …) thanks to high intensity alternating electric fields.

Applications cover a vast market from cosmetics, medical, to insulating or structural panels. A large number of companies are currently testing the process/products in those various fields.

Process is fully industrialized. Key benefits are an important cost reduction and the possibility of creating new products

Fibroline helps the “sustainable growth” efforts of its clients by:
Suppressing water use and pollution
Reducing considerably energy consumption
Eliminating many personal health risks caused for instance by VOC.
Facilitating environmental regulations establishment (REACH…)

The main advantages of the Fibroline dry powder impregnation process are the perfect homogeneity of the powder distribution, and the environmentally sensitive technology which requires no water, no solvents, and which reduces the cost of energy and the investment in depollution processes overall.

Fibroline industrial equipments are built by a Swiss machine manufacturer (STRAHM) according to customer’s specifications, from 0,5m up to 5,5m width.

Fibroline is an engineering company, and the business model of the company is to market the process through license agreements (exclusive or non exclusive) with industrial partners for particular applications and territories. Fibroline has a policy to be very flexible in terms of the licensing model and typically links the licence cost to the economies that the process achieves, the type of application and to the growth of the partner’s business.

Since 2003, Fibroline is supported by OSEO (French State Agency which supports its R&D efforts), and receives important subsidies from French state as young innovating enterprise. At end of 2007, the company spent a total of € 7 millions mainly on the development of the process and for patents expenses

Fibroline proposes to its customer turnkey solutions in terms of process as well as product which are protected by a number of patents.
The basic patent (see - Policy) belongs to the mother company of Fibroline, Materials Technics Holding, Luxemburg.
